KUMA
A unique collaboration between a musical ensemble, led by Itamar Doari, and the Vertigo Dance Company, culminating in a performance that moves between set dance structures and improvisation.
The creation aspires to immerse itself in the here and now, dwelling in the space between music and movement .
A tension than manifests itself, that allows the audience to be drawn in as an invitation to peek into this inspirational space.
The work was created out of a will to feel the movement of the heart as it contracts and expands, and to follow the movement of the eyes as they close and open up wide.
With the loudness and chaos outside, the dancers look for an anchor to hold on to between falling and rising up, finding spaces between the sounds and movements , for a moment to rest.
